Spreading Joy: Aikotaan’s Heartwarming Toy Drive for the Jessie Rees Foundation
There is no greater joy than seeing a community unite to bring light to children facing their toughest battles. On December 12, 2025, the Aikotaan community proved once again that our strength lies in our compassion. Following a dedicated two-week collection period, our member volunteers visited the Jessie Rees Foundation (Joy Factory) to deliver a literal truckload of hope and happiness to children battling cancer.

This initiative was a resounding success, and we are overwhelmed by the generosity displayed by every single person who contributed. Here is a look back at an incredibly moving day of service.
Highlights of the Day
- A Massive Outpouring of Love: Thanks to your incredible participation, we successfully collected and donated over 300 toys! This surpassed our expectations and is a testament to the kindness that defines the Aikotaan family.
- Inside the Joy Factory: Our volunteers were given an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the Joy Factory. It was a profound experience to learn more about the Jessie Rees Foundation’s mission and the legacy of “NEGU” (Never Ever Give Up). Seeing how much thought and care goes into every package was truly inspiring.
- Hands-On Giving: We didn’t just drop off toys; we rolled up our sleeves! Our members spent the afternoon helping to pack Joy Jars for 120 children. These jars are designed to bring a much-needed smile to brave kids during their hospital stays, and it was an honor to play a small part in that process.
Because of your dedication, this holiday season is a lot brighter for many families. You have truly made a difference!
A Special Message from the Jessie Rees Foundation
The impact of our collective effort was felt immediately. We received a beautiful note of appreciation from MaryLynn at the Jessie Rees Foundation, which we are proud to share with you all:
“I just wanted to thank you again for bringing in your group to volunteer at the JoyFactory.
A Courageous Mom sent me a photo of her boys playing with the cool Pokémon gift that you brought in, and I wanted to share it with you.
Thank you for bringing so much joy to Courageous Kids fighting cancer!
— MaryLynn
Thank You, Aikotaan!
What a spectacular way to wrap up our 2025 charitable initiatives! We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who donated a toy, spread the word, or spent their Friday volunteering at the factory. It is because of YOU that we are able to reach out and support those in need.
Together, we can make a difference.
